How Merchant works

Digital goods, paid in Monero. Every listing gets its own coin.

The short version

Find a digital product. Pay in Monero. Get it through escrow.

Every published listing gets its own coin. Holding that coin can lower the price and earn XMR rewards when your wallet is linked.

Buying

Pay from your XMR balance. The money waits in escrow until you have the product.

  1. Deposit XMR. Send XMR to the wallet address on the wallet page. It's credited after 10 confirmations.
  2. Buy. Your XMR moves from your balance into escrow. If you qualify for a holder perk, the discount is applied at checkout.
  3. The seller delivers. They upload the file, or a screenshot as proof of delivery, on your order page.
  4. Confirm, or wait 10 minutes. Confirm receipt to pay the seller right away. If you don't, the escrow releases on its own 10 minutes after delivery.
  5. Something wrong? Open a dispute. Do it any time before the payment releases, including when the seller never delivers. The admin settles it: a refund to you, a release to the seller, or a split. Refunds go back to your balance.

Selling

List for free and keep the full price.

Add a title, a description, an image, a price in XMR and how many you have in stock. Anyone can sell, and there is no listing fee and no sales fee.

Publishing a listing launches its own coin on pump.fun. Merchant pays the launch cost, and the listing goes live once the coin is confirmed. When an order comes in, upload the product (or a screenshot as proof) on the order page. The full price lands in your balance when the buyer confirms, or 10 minutes after delivery.

Change your stock any time. A sold-out listing comes back when you restock, with the same coin. You can't delete a listing, only end it, and ending it ends its holder perks permanently. Start selling

Coins and perks

Hold a listing's coin to get a discount on that listing.

Each listing has one coin, created by Merchant's wallet and traded only on pump.fun. You can browse them all on the coins page.

A seller can add a perk: a percentage off when you hold at least a set number of the listing's tokens. Your linked wallet just has to hold that amount when you check out. Perks work while the listing is Active or Sold out, and count again after a restock.

Perks only apply while the listing is live. If the seller ends the listing, its perk ends permanently, and the coin page shows the date it ended.

Verify a coin

Every genuine Merchant coin was created by one wallet. Anything else is not ours.

The Merchant creator wallet is 8jDAQ49dLBXCFKLMpvYGycp1eFpMNFqK67oABBTRCUyk ·Solscan

  1. Copy the coin's contract address. It's on the coin's page here, or on pump.fun. Every coin is listed on the coins page.
  2. Look up its creator. On pump.fun, open the coin and check who created it. On Solscan, search the contract address and check the token's creator.
  3. Compare it with the wallet above. If they match, it's a real listing coin. If not, it isn't ours, whatever its name or picture says.

Rewards

Hold any Merchant coin, earn XMR every 20 minutes.

The admin adds XMR to the rewards pool from 50% of claimed creator fees. Every 20 minutes, 1% of the pool is paid out. It's split by the SOL in each coin, then by how much of each coin you hold.

Only linked wallets are paid; unlinked shares stay in the pool for later rounds. Rewards keep going even after a listing ends. The rewards page has a worked example and an estimator.

Accounts

Like Mullvad: one random key, nothing else.

Sign-up shows you a long random account key, once. That key is your login: no email, no username, no password. Other people see a generated handle such as amber_kite42, never your key.

There is no recovery. We only store a scrambled version of your key. If you lose it, the account and its balance are gone, so save it somewhere safe before you create an account.

Wallet

An XMR balance on the site. Deposit, spend, withdraw.

Deposit to the wallet address on the wallet page. Deposits are credited after 10 confirmations. Sales, holder rewards and refunds land in your balance instantly. Purchases move money into escrow, and your balance can never go below zero.

Withdrawals are automatic and go out in batches. The Monero network fee is taken from the amount you withdraw.

Behind the scenes

What runs on its own while you shop.

  1. A Monero worker, every minute. Our Monero wallet runs on a paid Google Cloud server with a worker next to it. It hands out deposit addresses, credits deposits after 10 confirmations, sends withdrawals in batches, and pays holder rewards every 20 minutes. The wallet isn't reachable from the internet.
  2. An escrow timer in the database, every minute. A Supabase cron job runs inside our database and releases payment to the seller 10 minutes after delivery, unless the buyer opened a dispute. It keeps running even if the website is down.

FAQ

Does Merchant charge any fees?
No. Listing is free, and sellers get the full price of every sale. The only cost you'll see is the Monero network fee on withdrawals, which goes to the network, not to us.
Can I buy or sell coins on Merchant?
No. Coins trade only on pump.fun, with SOL, from your own Solana wallet. Merchant never trades, holds or looks after coins. Every coin page links straight to pump.fun.
How do I know a coin is a real Merchant coin?
Every listing coin is created by one published wallet. Check the coin's creator on Solscan or pump.fun against that address (here's how). If it doesn't match, it isn't ours.
What happens to a coin when its listing ends?
The coin keeps existing on pump.fun and keeps earning holder rewards. Its perk ends permanently, and the coin page shows the date it ended.
I lost my account key. Can you get it back?
No. We only store a scrambled version of your key, so nobody, including us, can recover it. Losing the key means losing the account and its balance.
Why link a Solana wallet?
Only for perks and rewards. Linking connects your Solana wallet to your Merchant account: you sign a message, and no funds move. A wallet can be linked to one account only.
How long does a deposit take?
Deposits are credited after 10 confirmations on the Monero network, usually about 20 minutes. You can watch it confirm on your wallet page.
My withdrawal says pending. Is something wrong?
A pending withdrawal may be waiting for the next automatic batch or for funds to unlock. If an address is invalid, its amount returns to your balance.
What if the product isn't what was promised?
Open a dispute on the order page before the 10-minute auto-release. The money stays in escrow and the admin settles it: a full refund, a full release to the seller, or a split.
What if the seller never delivers?
Open a dispute on the order page while it's waiting for delivery. Your XMR stays in escrow, and the admin can refund it to your balance.
Where does reward XMR come from?
From creator fees. The admin adds XMR to the rewards pool from 50% of claimed fees. Every top-up is listed on the transparency page.
Can I delete a listing?
You can end it. Ended listings can't be bought, and their holder perks end for good. The listing page and the coin stay up so holders can still find them.
